What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme that shows your business has five core security controls in place: firewalls, secure configuration, security update management, user access control and malware protection.
What’s the difference between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber Essentials is a verified self-assessment. Cyber Essentials Plus adds an independent technical audit, where an assessor tests a sample of your devices and systems. Plus is often requested for larger or higher-risk contracts.
How long does Cyber Essentials take?
It depends on how many gaps there are. Some businesses are ready within a few days; others need a few weeks of updates and changes first. Our readiness check gives you a realistic timeline.
How long does the certificate last?
Certification lasts for 12 months, so you’ll need to renew each year. Keeping systems patched and managed makes renewal much easier.
Do you issue the certificate?
